HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I have SO MUCH to be thankful for this year...little Elle Louise, my family and friends, a wonderful husband, a job during this crumbling economy, health and the list goes on.

Hope everyone has a blessed day!

27 Weeks Today

13 weeks to go!

Is it time to FREAK OUT yet? I'm thinking....YES!

We have SO much left to do to get ready for Baby Girl, there are some days when I don't even know where to start!
  • Finishing painting the Baby's room
  • Paint dresser that goes in Baby's room
  • Tackle sewing projects....curtains, carseat canopy, nursing cover, boppy covers, blankets, burp cloths, binky holders, bows, bow holder, and etc.
  • Finish up the "Grandma Quarters", aka guest bedroom...consists of A LOT...painting, finding dresser and bedside table, organizing closet and all my craft stuff, finding bedding
  • Try to tackle other household projects...put up trim in hallway and kitchen, paint bedside tables for our bedroom, organize EVERYTHING, put cabinets back on kitchen cabinets
  • "Girly" up guest bathroom for Elle Louise :)
  • Make pillows for living room
  • Attempt to finish all other projects that are currently sitting in garage...
  • Clean OUT garage so that I can pull my car in
And, I'm sure the list could go on and on and on...

So, as you see, I'm beginning to become a little overwhelmed. My prayer is for a still heart over the next few months. I tend to be a little on the anxious side. Not necessarily stressed, just anxious. I think ALL THE TIME and my brain is constantly on what I need to be doing. When I'm at home, I think about all the errands I need to be running and when I'm out running errands I'm thinking about all the things I could be getting done at home. And, when I'm at work I'm thinking about both!

I know with the holidays quickly approaching the next few months are going to be CRAZY! I have very little time left to get everything done, but I have a strong feeling that it will all be accomplished. My goal is that I get the MOST IMPORTANT things done first and then I can tackle all the small, less important projects later...perhaps even after Elle Louise has graced us with her precious presence. Most of my sewing projects can and will most likely have to wait until after she is born.

Hope everyone has a great pre-Thanksgiving weekend. We are having our first Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow night with my dad's side of the family. I can taste all the yummy food now! So excited! Other than that, we do not have much else planned (besides the above list) for this weekend! Hopeful that we get a lot done!

Very Random + A Pretty Picture

Found here

I want to be where she is! It looks so pretty there!

So, not much has been going on around here lately. Definitely nothing blog-worthy! But for your viewing pleasure, here are a few random lots...

I'm tired and feeling VERY pregnant these days. I'm 27 weeks on Friday and I feel every bit of it. Hopefully with the holidays quickly approaching the next 13 weeks will go by really fast. It feels good to be pregnant in the winter time. I feel so clostraphobic these days that its nice to be able to step outside and breathe in some cool fresh air. I have a feeling the rest of my winter is going to be spent indoors getting ready for little Elle Louise. We have SO much stuff left to do. That is a post for another day entirely! My pregnancy has been a breeze, let me tell you. I have not had extreme sickness. I have been extremely fatigued BUT I would rather be fatigued than throwing up the whole time. Although, I have had a fairly easy pregnancy I do not just LOVE being pregnant. Of course, I have some pretty awesome pregnancy moments, like feeling Baby Girl moving around, or people asking me about my pregnancy when they can tell that I'm pregnant, or putting on a super cute outfit that really makes my belly pop and not just look ackward, reading all the baby blogs, books and magazines. Very joyous moments, but all in all I'm not a pregnancy lover. I'm sure once Elle Louise is here I will forget every pregnancy fret that I have had and just relish in her.
Oh, what a joyous day that will be!

It's SO hard to believe that Christmas is just right around the corner. I have literally bought one gift...and, that gift just kind of fell into my hands. I better get started because my list is looooooooooooooooooooooong. I have lots of ideas and lists that go on for days, its just turning the ideas adn lists into realities.

I went shopping with my SIL and MIL yesterday. We pretty much do this every week. I love going to look for stuff for Baby Girl! And, the in-laws are the perfect people to go with because they know where every single sale is in a 50-mile radius! Elle Louise is going to have quite the wardrobe let me tell you. I didn't buy her anything yesterday, but I did get myself a velour suit. I've been looking for one for months. Really ever since I got pregnant. Ever since I figured out I would be 28 weeks at Thanksgiving and 32 weeks at Christmas, I knew I needed some comfy clothes to wear! Something loungy but cute. I finally found the suit and I love it. Its a deep plum color and I got it at Charlotte Russe. I didn't get much else.

Well, I guess that's about it for today!

Hope everyone has a happy hump day!

Silent Saturday

If we die with Him we will also live with Him.
If we endure hardship, we will also reign with Him.
If we deny him, He will deny us.
If we are unfaithful,
He remains faithful for He cannot deny who He is.

Dreaming of All Things Fabulous Friday: If only I had a waist...

...and a fancy party to go to.

Before I got pregnant I belted everything. Everything! That is something I miss. I can not belt anything and I have tried and it looks ridiculous (not to mention super uncomfortable). So I refuse. There are just not many trends that you can pull off being pregnant. If I were to go to a fancy holiday party this year, I'm sure I would wear some kind of flowy, empire waisted dress and try to dress it up with accessories. Comfort is key when your with child!

I'm not into a lot of sparkle and shine, but I do love all the metallics this season! You get the glitz and glam without overdoing it (in my opinion of course). Pretty party dresses are one of my favorites. I think New Year's 2009 was the last time I really got dressed up. No parties. No weddings in 2009 for me. I miss dressing up and getting pretty!

Here are some pretty party dresses I've been eyeing for awhile (obviously though I can't wear any of them) and dreaming about:

Mod Cloth finds. LOVE Mod Cloth. Both dresses are to die for!

Kimchi Blue Lace Dress-Simple AND Classic. Great combo.

Etsy finds. Super original. One of a kind. The blue dress might be a little too much for me, but I still think its pretty!

Alloy Ruffle Party Dress

Fancy

And, of course, my perfect Polyvore party ensemble! Love the polka dot stockings!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

We are taking it super easy this weekend and I look forward to that! Its been a crazy last couple of weeks, it will be nice to lay low for a few days!

Help!

My blog is MESSED UP. For some reason the other day my background that I got from HotBliggityBlog was missing. I removed the HTML gadget, but now the HotBliggityBlog button in the top left corner won't go away and when I try to add another background it doesn't show up. I'm confused! Any thoughts?

CMA Awards

Last night we watched the CMA Awards. I don't even like country music but for some reason I love the CMA Awards. Weird. I know.

It was great last night! Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood (FAV!) hosted and they did a fantastic job! They made fun of Kanye West endlessly and it was hilarious! Speaking of Brad Paisley, have you heard his song Then. Tears me up everytime.

Watching the CMA Awards makes me feel proud to be an American. Patriotic. Down-home country. They are just GOOD people!

Zach Brown Band. They sing that song....toes in the water, azz in the sand! It was our theme song at the beach last summer! They sang Charlie Daniels Devil Went Down to Georgia. Talent people!

How can you NOT love this girl? She is precious. Simply put, precious! She won the Entertainer of the Year award! She beat out Kenny, George Strait, and Brad Paisley! Girl. Power.

Aaron wasn't too thrilled, but I thought Lady Antebellum did great! I love her voice! I don't know her name. But, I was curios to know what Antebellum meant and according to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary it means existing before war; especially : existing before the American Civil War.

No words. I just looooooooooove her! And, this BODY is my goal for summer 2010! Yes. This picture will be printed off and hung on my frig come February!

housework DOES NOT rule!

I wish I had this housewife's joyful attitude about keeping house. But, I don't! I hate cleaning! The only chore I really enjoy is laundry, but lately I've been letting it pile up until we have 13 loads (yep, doing the last 3 today), so its not much fun to me anymore!

I've let the house go long enough. I think its been 2 months since I've really dusted and mopped, so today I'm doing that....laundry, dusting, mopping, and cleaning. Ugh! There are a hundred things I would rather be doing. Like shopping, blogging, blog-stalking, enjoying the pretty weather, going to lunch with friends, WORKING....ANYTHING! I hate cleaning. Especially being 6 1/2 months pregnant! I feel so out of breath the whole time. I have to keep "taking breaks".

Oh yeah, while I'm dusting off the light fixture in the bathroom IT FALLS OFF THE WALL! Seriously. Then I take the towels off the rack to shake out and dust the rack and IT FALLS OFF THE WALL! Ugh! It's going to be one of those days!

Back to it...

Granny

Aaron and Granny at our wedding on June 30, 2007.

Granny Aileene went to be with Jesus last night around 9 after she put up one heck of a fight.

Please continue to pray for our family. The hurting has just begun. Everyone is going to miss Granny dearly, although we know she is watching over us all.

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord!

I enjoy...

My brain is mush lately. Too mushy for a REAL post. Between Granny being in hospice and trying to get ready for Baby Girl there is not much else I think about. Starting Friday we have 15 weeks to get all-things-baby ready. Since we both work that really only leaves 15 weekends and that's given that Elle Louise decides not to come early and Aaron doesn't have to go on anymore business trips.

But, there are a few things I'm enjoying at the moment...

Online shopping for Baby Elle!
Having a grand time doing that!
Right now I'm researching trying to find the
perfect travel system. Help!

My new Bailey Button UGGS!

This GORGEOUS fall weather.
I hope it sticks around for awhile.
I won't watch the weather. I don't want to know!

Leggings. Any color. From anywhere.
They are my BEST FRIEND!

Me oh my! I am in LOVE with these
calorie-packed-heaven-on-earth drinks!
I will miss you when you are gone!
Hope everyone is having a happy HUMP day!
Tomorrow is my 6-month checkup! I am so excited to hear Elle Louise's heartbeat. I feel her move endlessly and I wouldn't ask for anything more or less. Lately she has been kicking my bladder. It makes me laugh because it tickles. I love this little one more than I ever thought possible. I seriously think my heart might explode the day she is born! I will say that one hundred more times I am sure :)

Granny

This picture was taken this year, by my sister-in-law, Whitney, while celebrating Granny and Papa's 60th wedding anniversary. Aaron and I missed this special day because Aaron was out of town for work and I had a family birthday. But, what an awesome legacy they have left for their family. 60 years and still so in love.

Thank you for your prayers! We are certainly feeling them. Granny (Aileene) is not doing so good. At this point she has been moved from SICU (surgical intesive care unit) to a regular room where she spent one night and today at 4:00 pm they moved her to a hopsice care facility. She is breathing on her own and has been since 9:30 yesterday morning, when the doctors along with Papa and the "kids" (their children) decided to take her off of the respirator. She is unresponsive to most everything but pain. They are keeping her comfortable by making sure that pain medicine is administered. As far as we know, she is not suffering. Papa (Harold) is suffering. It kills him seeing his beloved in the situation she is in. Keep Papa in your prayers!

Isn't it crazy how fast a body can take a turn for the worst? Granny has cancer on 3 different places of her brain. The cancer caused the initial stroke. Cancer also caused her seizure and ultimately cancer is what is killing her. Cancer. Dirty, dirty word. I will DEFINITELY be participating in the Cancer Challenge next June (2010). I pray that I see a cure for cancer in my lifetime.

Thank you so much for your prayers! It is a comfort knowing that people are praying for our family in the times that we just can't.

Love to all!
