
today is my first day back at work and the above pictures are the pictures i've been looking at on my phone all day. i miss my baby so much, but i know she is in good hands with her sweet gigi, who has been texting me updates all day and baby girl is doing so good. sleeping and eating good. sweet little angel baby. i am so blessed to only have to work one day a week for awhile and to have such good help!
so, with pregnancy came pounds and lots of them. i gained somewhere around 45. i started off somewhere around 130-135 (i never really weighed myself before i got pregnant and was only weighed at the doctore during my pregnancy...i've never been one to obsess over numbers) and was almost 180 the day i delivered my sweet 6 pound girl! up until now i have not been doing any sort of exercise (except for walks at the park on nice days) or eating any different, but this week i decided i have to get started doing something. its 12 weeks until we go to the beach. i highly doubt i'll be back to my pre-pregnancy weight but i at least want to be a little more toned!
so...

i did 10 minutes of jillian's 30 day shred on wednesday night. ha! it was SO hard. i didn't stop because it was hard, i stopped because elle woke up from her nap and she was hungry. but, i am sore today. very sore. and i was sore yesterday. my goal is to walk everyday with elle, as long as its nice out and do the shred maybe 3-5 times a week. depends solely on elle's schedule though!
as far as diet goes i'm just trying to make healtier, conscious choices. trying to cut out bad carbs and sugars. hopefully it will pay off in the end. this week i ate out for lunch a couple times. one day i had a cobb salad with dressing on the side and the other day i ate a grilled chicken sandwich from chic-fil-a with fries and yes, i ate the fries and yes, that is a BAD carb, but i'm not perfect. other than those meals out i ate frozen meals, sandwiches and/or salads at home! the hubby and i grilled out a couple nights this week. chicken one night with a steamers side and last night we had grilled shrimp and veggies with smashed sweet potatoes (sweet potatoes, some butter, 2% organic milk, and garlic salt and smashed together...sweet and salty! yum!). we also had grilled turkey and provolone paninis with a salad and one night we ate out...i had a cobb salad with dressing on the side. my favorite! trying to get better about breakfast. i'm just NEVER hungry in the morning so i'll usually just eat a fiber one pop tart (2 in a package) or a fiber one bar. but, i do want to start eating heartier and more substantial breakfasts.
i weighed myself on monday and i weighed 144.5. i weighed this morning and i weighed 144. my goal was to lose 2 pounds by monday coming up. not gonna happen. that's ok. i know i've made healthier choices this week (most of the time...i did have my fair share of sweets and leftover easter candy). my goal weight is 130. i get there and i can wear all my pre-pregnancy clothes. i hope!
fitness friday will hopefully happen every friday. if not every friday every other friday. i will share my workouts and some meals from the previous week.
