choosing thankfulness

there's no denying it. monday is not my best day. its a hard day. back to work after 4 consecutive days spent at home with elle louise. a lot pressure comes with mondays. it's a tone-setter for the whole week.

so, today, while rushing out the door. i chose to be thankful for this wonderful life i've been given. not everything comes easily, or gracefully but that's just life.

as much as i try to keep my house clean, my family on a good schedule, dinner on the table every night, chaos still seems to creep into my life. i can choose to dwell in those moments of chaos and let it bring me down or i can choose to laugh it off and move to the next thing. there will always be crumbs on my floor, crayon marks on furniture, stickyness everywhere on the doors, shoes in my way, unorganized counter tops...and you get the point. it's life. and while, yes, i would love for my house to miraculously stay clean and serene but we live in our home. and what's living if i'm always cleaning and organizing.

today at work, when i get stressed i'm going to send prayers of thankfulness up for what a wonderful life it is. it's november, thanksgiving is next week. what better time than now to be extra thankful?

it's a beautiful life.

happy monday!

i love this KB. Seriously need this revelation about chilling out when the house is messy. So many more important things deserve my attention.

AMEN! and can I just THANK YOU for the OCM post!? I love my castor oil/EVOO cleanser and I really think that my melasma is getting lighter and fainter by the day! Woo hoo! It took me weeks to find Castor oil and I actually had to order it from Amazon...pharmacists gave me the funniest looks when I asked for it! : )
