my aunt and uncle were in arkansas a couple of weeks ago and my aunt made homemade pimento cheese while they were at my parents' house. it was so yummy. she texted me the recipe a few days ago, but i just got around to making it yesterday. elle ate it up. she ate almost a whole pimento cheese sandwich last night. that says a lot because the girl never eats...
homemade pimento cheese
recipe by my lovely aunt sherry
ingredients:
1/3 block cream cheese, softened
2 tsp worcestershire
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 cup mayo
salt & pepper, to taste
large jar pimentos, drained
3 tbs minced onion
1 1/2 cup grated cheddar
directions:
beat cream cheese, worcestershire and garlic powder until smooth. stir in mayo and salt and pepper. next, gently stir in pimentos, onion and cheddar cheese. eat on white bread for the perfect taste of summer or serve as a dip with club crackers.
enjoy!
This looks super yummy! I'll definitely have to give it a try! Thanks! :)
