going to group 2 weeks worth and show pictures of elle's new big girl bed and her new big girl room!
 

last weekend we set up elle's new twin bed! i found this on craigslist and was so excited when i did because it was exactly what i've been wanting for her room. i wasn't sure about the buttercup yellow color at first but i love it in her room and don't think i will paint it. love how it pops off the white wall.



elle is a fan of it too and has actually been sleeping in her bed. we have to lay down with her and more times than not this week she has ended up in our bed, but its a start and she is doing a great job so far!

 

view of the bed from the doorway. as you can tell the room is really small so we moved everything around to give her the most space possible to play. and she has been playing in her room by herself a lot more since doing so.
 

this grouping is exactly as it was before just moved them to the adjacent wall and added a bed side table below.

the chest was made by aaron's dad and it is so cherished! and doubles perfectly as a bedside table.

  

moved the dresser to the wall that once had the shelves and hoops and put a little reading space between it and the wall and also hung the hooks low so she could hang her own coats and bags up! she thinks that is pretty neat.

and, of course, we added a spot for her beloved vanity.

and one on of my favorite things in her new room is the print hanging above it. it is from an etsy shop called unfading beauty. when she got this vanity for christmas this was the first verse that came to mind and i knew i wanted the words hung by it in one fashion or the other. i pray this scripture is imbedded in her heart forever!

your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
